Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Analyst with penetration testing expertise to support a government institution managing multiple mission-critical systems and applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing vendor documentation, assessing existing systems, and conducting both functional and non-functional security tests to ensure compliance with government standards and resilience against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Review vendor documentation and technical specifications for government systems and applications.
• Conduct penetration tests on applications, networks, and infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities.
• Perform functional and non-functional security tests, including performance, resilience, and compliance checks.
• Monitor and analyze system logs, alerts, and incidents to detect potential threats.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and controls aligned with government regulations.
• Collaborate with vendors, developers, and internal teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen system defenses.
• Provide detailed reports and recommendations to management on security posture and risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in information security, penetration testing, or system auditing.
• Strong knowledge of functional and non-functional testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark).
• Familiarity with Nigerian government IT standards and international frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Relevant certifications (CEH, OSCP, CISSP, CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 4 months

Pay: ₦350,00.00 – ₦600,00.00 per month
