The Business Advisory Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership, commercial direction, and oversight of execution for the organisation’s Business Advisory function. The role will lead the design, development, and delivery of high-impact advisory solutions across Business Development & Strategic Support, Commodity Trading & Brokerage Advisory, and Fundraising Advisory.
This role is crucial in positioning the organisation as a thought leader and trusted strategic partner to corporations, investors, development partners, and high-growth enterprises, while driving measurable revenue growth and advisory outcomes.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive the development and execution of the Business Advisory strategy in direct alignment with organisational and Board-level objectives.
- Provide executive-level advisory on growth strategy, market entry, partnerships, capital structuring, and enterprise-level operational improvement.
- Lead high-impact advisory engagements, delivering decision-grade, data-driven recommendations that translate strategy into measurable commercial outcomes.
- Oversee the development of feasibility studies, business plans, commercial assessments, and investment cases to support deal origination and capital mobilisation.
- Advise on commodity-linked transactions from a strategic and structuring perspective, including market positioning, deal economics, and risk considerations, rather than operational trading execution.
- Lead capital-raising initiatives across debt, equity, blended finance, and development finance, strengthening client bankability and investor readiness.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with investors, financial institutions, development financiers, and funding partners to support deal flow and transaction closure.
- Drive advisory revenue growth through client acquisition, structured deal pipelines, new advisory offerings, and selective strategic partnerships.
- Lead proposal development, commercial pricing, negotiations, and contracting, ensuring profitability, risk discipline, and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Translate organisational strategy into market-facing advisory products and execution roadmaps.
- Own and manage the Business Advisory pipeline, from opportunity origination through mandate execution and revenue realisation.
- Position the organisation as a credible thought leader through targeted market insights, reports, and executive-level engagements.
- Represent the organisation in investor meetings, industry forums, and high-level stakeholder engagements.
- Embed a culture of commercial discipline, strategic rigour, excellence, and client-centric advisory delivery.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 7–12 years’ experience in business advisory, strategy consulting, investment advisory, commodities, or related fields.
Proven experience in business development advisory, investment or fundraising advisory, and transaction-related exposure to commodities or structured trade.
Demonstrated track record of revenue generation and deal execution.
