The Telesales Officer will be responsible for selling loan products to public sector employees through outbound and inbound calls. The role focuses on lead conversion, customer engagement, loan application support, and achieving assigned sales targets while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Lead Conversion
- Make outbound and receive inbound calls to public sector employees to promote loan products
- Convert qualified leads into successful loan applications
- Clearly explain loan terms, repayment structures, and eligibility criteria to customers
Customer Engagement & Support
- Build rapport with prospects and maintain professional customer relationships
- Address customer inquiries, objections, and concerns effectively
- Follow up consistently on leads to ensure timely closure
Loan Processing Support
- Guide customers through the loan application process
- Ensure accurate collection and submission of required documentation
- Work closely with Credit, Risk, and Operations teams to facilitate approvals and disbursements
Target & Performance Management
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
- Maintain accurate records of calls, leads, and conversions in the CRM system
- Provide regular sales reports and pipeline updates
Compliance & Process Adherence
- Adhere strictly to approved sales scripts and compliance guidelines
- Ensure ethical selling practices and proper customer disclosures
- Escalate complex cases or issues appropriately
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of OND / NCE / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
- Previous experience in telesales, call centre sales, or loan sales is an advantage
- Experience selling to public sector employees or salary-backed loans is a strong plus
