Job Description
Job summary
We are looking for a Data Analyst to support business decision-making through data analysis, reporting, and insights. The role will work closely with sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to track performance, identify trends, and improve operational efficiency in an FMCG environment.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Analyze sales, distribution, pricing, and promotional data to generate actionable insights
- Create and maintain regular MIS reports and dashboards for business stakeholders
- Track KPIs related to sales performance, market share, inventory, and forecasting
- Support demand planning and supply chain analysis through data-driven inputs
- Work with large datasets from multiple sources and ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to support business growth
- Assist leadership with ad-hoc analysis and data requests
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis
- Working knowledge of Power BI / Tableau or similar BI tools
- Ability to interpret data and present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Prior experience in the FMCG / Consumer Goods industry (Preferred)
- Exposure to sales analytics, trade promotions, or supply chain data (Preferred)
- Knowledge of forecasting and demand planning concepts (Preferred)
- Experience working with large, high-volume datasets (Preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
