Job Description

Job Title: Import Logistics Officer / Executive

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Experience: Minimum 5 years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Import Logistics Officer / Executive to manage end-to-end import operations, including documentation, customs clearance, shipment tracking, and final delivery. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in Apapa port operations, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage import shipments from Proforma Invoice stage to final delivery
• Process Form M, PAAR, LC, Marine Insurance, SONCAP, and NAFDAC documentation
• Liaise with banks, customs, shipping lines, terminals, and clearing agents
• Track shipments, plan vessel arrivals, and coordinate duty payments and clearing
• Prepare weekly import status reports and maintain accurate shipment records
• Ensure timely delivery, container returns, and clearing invoice follow-ups

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Import Logistics / Clearing & Forwarding
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian import processes and Apapa port operations
• Excellent email communication and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables required)
• Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
• Strong teamwork, communication, and coordination skills

Working Hours:

Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 6:00pm

Alternate Saturdays (compulsory)
