The Eye Place Eye Clinic and Optical Boutique is hiring a Front Desk, Customer Service Officer to serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage appointments, support clinic operations, and ensure every guest receives a warm, professional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, check them in, and ensure a smooth first-contact experience.
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and track appointments using approved clinic systems.
- Manage incoming calls and messages, respond to inquiries promptly, and escalate urgent concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate patient records, update patient information, and uphold confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate patient flow across clinical and optical teams to reduce wait times and improve service delivery.
- Process payments accurately, including POS and insurance billing, issue receipts, and reconcile basic daily payment records.
- Track orders and follow up with patients on collections, reschedules, and pending actions.
- Keep the reception area neat, patient-ready, and stocked with clinic materials.
- Follow opening and closing procedures and ensure front desk documentation is complete.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND/HND/BSc (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in front desk or customer service roles (clinic, hospital, retail, hospitality, or service environment preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional phone etiquette.
- Good computer skills (email, scheduling tools, basic spreadsheets).
- close attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong follow-through.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and a service-focused attitude.
