Job descriptions & requirements
Product Description:
Ekogni is a Computer Based Testing (CBT) software application designed for educational institutions. It functions as a complete digital assessment system that allows schools to create, schedule, administer, and grade examinations electronically.
Role Description
We’re looking for a Business Development & Marketing Associate (EdTech) to help Ekogni get in front of the right schools.
Your primary responsibility is opening doors — identifying schools that may benefit from Ekogni, initiating conversations, and helping move them toward pilots or demos.
This is not a content or social media role. It’s a practical, outreach-focused position that blends research, communication, and relationship building.
You’ll work closely with the founder to test messaging, refine targeting, and learn what schools actually respond to.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify schools that are likely to benefit from Ekogni
Reach out to school administrators (principals, vice principals, exam officers, ICT heads) via email, LinkedIn, or other appropriate channels
Qualify interest and schedule demos or pilot discussions
Track outreach, responses, and follow-ups in a simple CRM or spreadsheet
Help refine messaging based on real-world feedback from schools
Provide insight into objections, concerns, and decision-making patterns in schools
Qualifications
Required
- Experience in marketing, outreach, sales, partnerships, or business development
- Strong written communication (professional, clear, and respectful)
- Comfort researching organizations and decision-makers
- Self-driven and able to work independently in a remote setup
Nice to Have
- Experience working with schools, universities, or education-focused organizations
- Familiarity with EdTech products or B2B SaaS
- Basic understanding of how schools make purchasing decisions
Who This Role Is Best For
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, outreach, and real conversations — not just posting content.
If you’re comfortable initiating contact, following up thoughtfully, and learning through direct feedback, you’ll do well here.
Ekogni is still growing. This role will help shape our early partnerships and directly influence how we approach schools long-term
