Job Description
The Supermarket Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring excellent customer service, effective staff supervision, inventory control, and achievement of sales and profitability targets. Key Responsibilities Store Operations Oversee day-to-day supermarket operations to ensure smooth running. Ensure shelves are properly stocked, organized, and merchandised. Monitor store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations. Sales and Profitability Drive sales growth and meet monthly revenue targets. Monitor pricing, promotions, and product displays. Analyze sales reports and implement strategies to improve performance. Staff Management Supervise, train, and schedule store staff. Monitor employee performance and enforce company policies. Motivate staff to maintain high productivity and customer service standards. Inventory and Stock Control Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment. Reduce stock losses, wastage, and shrinkage. Conduct periodic stock counts and audits. Customer Service Ensure excellent customer experience at all times. Resolve customer complaints and feedback promptly. Maintain a welcoming shopping environment. Financial Management Monitor daily cash handling, banking, and reconciliation. Control operational expenses and improve cost efficiency. Prepare periodic reports for management. Compliance and Safety Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain store safety standards and emergency procedures. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred). 3–5 years experience in supermarket or retail management. Strong leadership and team management skills. Good numerical and analytical skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
