Job Description

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Department: Warehouse

Location: Lagos State

Reporting Line:

  • Functionally reports to the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Administratively reports to the Warehouse Manager

Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, movement, loading, and storage of goods within the warehouse, while complying with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience
  • Proven experience in forklift operations or handling heavy machinery
  • Valid forklift operator certification from an accredited training provider
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and safety practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, offload, and move inbound shipments to designated storage areas
  • Stack and store goods efficiently while ensuring proper stock rotation
  • Load products accurately from storage or staging areas into delivery vehicles
  • Operate forklifts and other powered equipment safely and efficiently
  • Conduct daily inspection and minor maintenance of forklifts and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of warehouse equipment and materials
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
