Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and committed Islamic Religious Studies (IRS) Teacher to deliver effective instruction in Islamic studies, values, and ethics. The successful candidate will guide learners in understanding Islamic principles, history, and moral teachings, while supporting their spiritual and character development in line with the school’s ethos. Key Responsibilities Teach Islamic Religious Studies in accordance with the approved curriculum. Prepare lesson plans that promote understanding of the Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic history. Instil moral values, discipline, and good character in learners. Assess students’ learning and maintain accurate academic records. Use engaging and age-appropriate teaching strategies. Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment. Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development programmes. Qualifications & Experience Minimum qualification: NCE, B.Ed, B.A, or B.Sc in Islamic Studies / Religious Studies. Teaching experience at primary and/or secondary level is an added advantage. Sound knowledge of Islamic teachings and practices. Ability to communicate concepts clearly to learners. Personal Qualities High moral integrity and good character. Patient, dedicated, and well-organised. Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦120,00.00 – ₦160,00.00 per month
