Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Reports To: General Manager / CEO

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead revenue growth, expand market presence, and develop high-performing sales strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, leading sales teams, and driving sustainable business expansion.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong execution capability, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Revenue Generation

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue and market expansion targets
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels
  • Drive sales performance across products and services
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy

Sales Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and manage the business development and sales team
  • Set sales targets, KPIs, and performance expectations
  • Track team performance and implement corrective actions where necessary
  • Recruit, train, and mentor sales and business development staff

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Lead high-value negotiations and close strategic deals
  • Ensure excellent customer experience and long-term client retention

Strategy, Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare business development plans, forecasts, and budgets
  • Provide regular performance reports to management
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and recommend improvements
  • Support management in strategic decision-making

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure effective execution of sales initiatives
  • Align business development activities with overall company objectives

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or similar leadership role
  • Strong background in sales, negotiations, and revenue growth
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
