Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Lekki

Reports To: General Manager / Business Development Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Executive to identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and drive revenue growth across our products and services. The ideal candidate will be proactive, persuasive, target-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment.

This role is critical to expanding our market presence, increasing sales volume, and supporting the company’s overall growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Sales

  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and prospecting
  • Generate leads and convert prospects into active customers
  • Present, promote, and sell company products/services to new and existing clients
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Understand client needs and propose suitable solutions
  • Follow up on leads, inquiries, and pending deals consistently
  • Handle negotiations, close deals, and ensure customer satisfaction

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities
  • Provide feedback on customer needs, pricing, and product improvements
  • Support the development of sales strategies and go-to-market plans

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates
  • Maintain accurate records of clients, leads, and sales activities
  • Ensure proper documentation of transactions and agreements

Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to support sales delivery
  • Participate in sales meetings, trainings, and strategy sessions

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Executive, Sales Executive, or similar role
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Good understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and results-driven
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools
