Location: Nigeria Live-in

Department: Family Care Services – Caring Blocks
Qualifications: SSCE/OND/BSC
Reports To: Care Concierge Manager
About Caring Blocks
Caring Blocks is Nigeria’s all-access membership to a thoroughly vetted, highly trained, and professionally supported care-giving workforce. We serve modern Nigerian families with world-class nannies, postpartum specialists, chefs, chauffeurs, household managers, and eldercare professionals. Through a blend of care, convenience, and class, we match families with certified care professionals while handling hiring, contracts, HR, and ongoing support.
As a Professional Nanny+, you join an exceptional group of childcare professionals who deliver not just care, but specialised, combo-trained support tailored to the evolving needs of modern households. Rather than overwhelming one caregiver with too many tasks, each Nanny+ is certified in a specific dual-role combination, ensuring focused, high-quality service.
Role Overview
The Professional Nanny+ provides nurturing, structured, and developmentally appropriate childcare while performing a second specialised function depending on their designated combination (e.g., Nanny–Teacher/Tutor, Nanny–Cook, Nanny–Housekeeper, Nanny–Special Needs, Nanny–Newborn/Toddler, or Nanny–Family Assistant).
This role requires strong childcare expertise, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage routines that support children’s growth, safety, and well being. The ideal candidate is warm, organised, proactive, and able to deliver excellence in both care giving and their secondary specialisation.
Key Responsibilities
Core Childcare Responsibilities (All Nanny+ Combos)
- Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for infants, toddlers, or school-age children.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
- Assist with daily routines including feeding, bathing, hygiene, naps, and playtime.
- Support developmental milestones through play, reading, sensory activities, and structured learning.
- Monitor children’s well being and communicate observations to parents.
- Maintain a clean, child-safe environment at all times.
- Uphold family values, routines, and expectations with consistency.
Specialised Responsibilities by Nanny+ Combo
Nanny–Teacher/Tutor
- Provide homework support, literacy/numeracy enrichment, and learning routines.
- Plan age-appropriate educational activities.
- Support school readiness, study habits, and foundational learning skills.
Nanny–Cook
- Prepare child-friendly, nutritious meals and snacks.
- Follow dietary guidelines, allergies, and family preferences.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness related to child meals.
Nanny–Housekeeper
- Perform light housekeeping tasks related to children and shared spaces.
- Organise children’s rooms, play areas, and laundry.
- Support daily household flow while prioritising childcare.
Nanny–Special Needs
- Support children with developmental, emotional, or physical challenges using therapy-aligned routines.
- Implement behaviour support strategies and sensory-friendly activities.
- Use adaptive communication methods where required.
Nanny–Newborn/Toddler
- Support early development, feeding routines, sleep schedules, and weaning.
- Manage bottle sterilisation, diapering, potty training, and early childhood milestones.
- Provide gentle, responsive care for infants in their formative years.
Nanny–Family Assistant
- Assist with light admin tasks, errands, school runs, and scheduling.
- Coordinate small logistics to support overall household flow.
- Balance administrative duties with core childcare responsibilities.
