Role Summary

A reputable Private Secondary School based in Abuja is looking for a qualified and highly motivated CCTV/Security Surveillance Officer to monitor and operate the school’s CCTV surveillance system to ensure student/staff safety, protect school assets, and support incident prevention and response—delivering a discreet, professional standard suited to a premium school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live CCTV feeds across campus and identify suspicious or unsafe activity promptly.
• Maintain incident logs: time stamps, locations, persons involved, and actions taken.
• Escalate incidents to the Security Supervisor/School Management following protocol (intrusion, child safety, emergencies).
• Retrieve and export footage when authorized; maintain chain-of-custody and confidentiality.
• Perform routine checks: camera positioning, recording status, storage health, power/network status; report faults quickly.
• Support access control monitoring for gates/entry points (in collaboration with security team).
• Ensure strict adherence to privacy policies—especially in a school environment.
• Work shifts (including early mornings/evenings/weekends as rostered).

Requirements

• Minimum SSCE/OND; literacy and clear written reporting is essential.
• 1–2 years CCTV monitoring experience (school, estate, corporate facility, or security company).
• Basic computer skills (file handling, timestamps, simple reporting).
• Good eyesight, attention to detail, calmness under pressure.
• Professional conduct: respectful, discreet, and child-safety minded.

• Knowledge of DVR/NVR systems, IP cameras, basic networking.
