Role Overview

The Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and building sustainable client relationships within the Lagos region. This role requires a proactive professional who can identify new opportunities in Lubricants, negotiate deals, and deliver excellent customer service while ensuring alignment with company strategy and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, prospect, and convert new business opportunities in the Nigerian market.
- Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline to ensure consistent monthly and quarterly performance.
- Conduct product and service presentations tailored to client needs across B2B and corporate segments.
- Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, quotations, and sales agreements in line with company policies.
- Negotiate and close sales deals while maintaining profitability and strategic value.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers and partners.
- Conduct regular follow-ups, client visits, and account reviews to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Address client issues promptly, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure smooth order fulfillment.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends to support decision-making.
- Provide weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Suggest improvements to strengthen market positioning in Lagos and surrounding regions.
Internal Collaboration & Training
- Coordinate with the marketing team to support brand awareness and promotional campaigns.
- Work with logistics and finance departments to ensure accurate invoicing, payments, and deliveries.
- Assist in planning and delivering sales training sessions to align junior staff with company standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills

- Strong sales and customer-service capabilities with a proven record of meeting revenue targets.
- Ability to present confidently, persuade stakeholders, and maintain strong relationships.
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles (oil & gas, FMCG, or commodities preferred).
- Experience in sales management, including reporting, forecasting, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Prior involvement in conducting or supporting training sessions is highly valued.
