Job Description

Job Summary

The Liaison / Business Development Officer will be responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships that enhance the school’s brand visibility, student enrollment, partnerships, and revenue opportunities. The role serves as a bridge between the school and external stakeholders, including parents, corporate organizations, government agencies, educational partners, and the local community.

The ideal candidate will combine strong relationship management skills with business development acumen to drive enrollment growth and institutional partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Liaison & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the school and external stakeholders such as parents, community leaders, partner schools, corporate bodies, and government agencies.• Build and maintain strong relationships with feeder primary schools and educational consultants to support student admissions.• Represent the school at education fairs, community events, open days, and stakeholder meetings.• Manage communications and follow-ups with prospective parents and partners.

Business Development & Enrollment Growth

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase student enrollment and retention.• Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with organizations, NGOs, faith-based institutions, and corporate bodies.• Support the admissions team with outreach initiatives, school tours, and promotional activities.• Track and report on enrollment leads, conversion rates, and partnership outcomes.

Marketing & Brand Promotion

  • Support the execution of marketing and outreach campaigns in collaboration with the school’s media or communications team.• Promote the school’s programs, values, and achievements to the public and key stakeholders.• Gather market intelligence on competitor schools, pricing, and parent expectations within Abuja and surrounding areas.

Administrative & Reporting Duties

  • Maintain a database of contacts, partners, and prospective parents.• Prepare periodic reports on business development activities, partnerships, and outreach results.• Assist school management with stakeholder engagement plans and special projects.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

  • Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Education Management, or a related field.

Experience

  • 2–5 years relevant experience in business development, marketing, liaison, admissions, or relationship management.• Prior experience in an educational institution (school or training organization) is a strong advantage.• Experience working in Abuja or understanding the Abuja education market is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.• Proven ability to build and sustain professional relationships.• Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to meet enrollment or partnership targets.• Good presentation and public-speaking skills.• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CRM or record-keeping tools.
