Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator with strong experience in Windows Server environments and Hyper-V virtualization to join our Infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Windows-based servers and virtual infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install, configure, and manage Windows Server 2022/2025 operating systems.

2. Perform routine system maintenance including patching, updates, and firmware upgrades.

3. Administer and optimize Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).

4. Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell or similar scripting tools.

5. Design, implement, and manage Hyper-V virtual environments.

6. Configure and maintain virtual machines (VMs), templates, snapshots, and replication.

7. Optimize VM performance through proper resource allocation and load balancing.

8. Monitor and maintain High Availability (HA) and disaster recovery configurations.

9. Implement and enforce IT security policies for Windows servers and virtual environments.

10. Manage system backups and ensure disaster recovery plans are tested and effective.

11. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across physical and virtual servers.

12. Analyze system logs and provide timely resolution to technical issues.

13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for server configurations, processes, and policies.

14. Prepare regular reports on system performance, capacity planning, and uptime metrics.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2019/2022) and core services (AD, DNS, DHCP).

2. Hands-on experience with Hyper-V virtualization technologies.

3. Familiarity with NAS storage systems in virtualized environments.

4. Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.

5. Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell; Python is an advantage).

6. Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls).

7. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

8. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

9. Relevant Windows Systems Administration certifications are highly desirable.

10. 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Windows/Unix Systems Administrator.

11. Availability to work outside standard business hours for maintenance, upgrades, or emergencies.
