Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Reports To: Operations Manager (Direct);

Direct Reports: 5-10 (Inventory Officers, Assistants, Storekeeper)

Experience: 3-5 Years Supervisory in Warehouse/Retail

Employment: Full-Time (Mon-Sat, Flexible Shifts)

Role Purpose

Lead warehouse team for seamless operations: receiving, storage, inventory control, dispatches. Achieve KPIs, optimize processes, ensure compliance/safety in high-volume fashion logistics.

Detailed Responsibilities1. Team Management & Development

• Set daily targets; monitor via checklists/apps; coach for improvement.
• Conduct bi-weekly 1:1s, quarterly reviews; recommend promotions/discipline.
• Train on SOPs (receiving, FIFO, ERP), safety drills; certify forklift use.
• Foster team morale: TGIF ​

2. Goods Receiving & Quality Control

• Oversee unloading/inspection of supplier deliveries (daily 5-10 trucks).
• Verify POs/invoices: Quantities, SKUs, quality (e.g., no defects on leather bags).
• Document/photo discrepancies; negotiate credits with vendors.
• Approve quarantine/release; update ERP within 4 hours.
• Maintain GRN (Goods Received Note) logs.i

3. Storage & Inventory Management

• Design/enforce layouts: ABC zoning (high-value jewelry secure), FIFO rotation.
• Assign bin locations; audit weekly for compliance.
• Monitor via ERP dashboards: Low/high stock alerts, expiry checks.
• Handle adjustments (damages, returns); approve write-offs
• Prevent pilferage via CCTV/access logs.

4. Order Fulfillment & Dispatches

• Supervise picking/packing for store transfers .
• Ensure accurate manifests, secure packaging (fragile jewelry).
• Coordinate with drivers/logistics; track deliveries to full POD.
• Process urgent sales orders same-day.

5. Cycle Counts, Audits & Reconciliations

• Lead daily cycles monthly full physical counts.
• Reconcile variances; root-cause (e.g., miscounts, theft); corrective plans.
• Prepare audit files for external yearly review.
• Target high accuracy quarterly.

6. Reporting, KPIs & Analysis

• Daily: Shift handover, stock summary.
• Weekly: Variance report, dispatch metrics, team attendance (Excel).
• Monthly: KPI dashboard (accuracy, OTIF, costs).
• Use data for forecasts with sales team.

7. Health, Safety & Compliance

• Train on WH&SOPs; report incidents immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness/pest control; waste segregation.
• Comply with handbook

Qualifications & Experience

• HND/B.Sc Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Admin.
