Job Description

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Legal Officer to provide comprehensive legal support across the organisation. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, drafting and reviewing contracts, and providing sound legal advisory services to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents in line with business objectives
• Provide legal advisory support on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk matters
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions, memos, and documentation as required
• Support regulatory filings, policy reviews, and internal legal compliance processes

Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B); Call to the Nigerian Bar is mandatory
• Minimum of 2–5 years’ post-call experience, preferably within a financial institution or corporate legal environment
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract management, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent legal drafting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
