Job Description

Laundify is Asaba based laundry and dry-cleaning service. We are seeking a skilled and experienced laundry expert to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who has extensive knowledge of laundry and dry-cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and ironing and stain removal. As a Laundry Expert, you will be responsible for overseeing the laundering and dry-cleaning process from start to finish, ensuring that all garments are treated with care and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and classify garments according to fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements
• Inspect garments for stains, damages, and repairs needed
• Pre-treat and remove stains using appropriate techniques and products
• Operate and maintain laundry and dry-cleaning equipment, including washers, dryers, steamers, and pressing machines
• Ensure that all garments are laundered and dry-cleaned according to industry standards and customer preferences
• Iron, press, fold, and package garments for customer pick-up or delivery
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving any issues that may arise
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment and order new supplies as needed
• Train and mentor junior staff members on laundry and dry-cleaning techniques and best practices

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in laundry and dry-cleaning, with a strong understanding of fabrics, stains, and cleaning techniques
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to operate laundry and dry-cleaning equipment, including washers, dryers, steamers, and pressing machines
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures related to laundry and dry-cleaning operations
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
