Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and competent Hausa Language Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Hausa language and culture, promoting language proficiency, and supporting learners’ linguistic and cultural development in line with the school’s curriculum and values. Key Responsibilities Teach Hausa language (speaking, reading, and writing) effectively across assigned year groups. Prepare lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and learners’ needs. Use engaging and learner-centred teaching strategies. Assess, record, and report students’ progress accurately. Integrate Hausa culture, values, and traditions into lessons where appropriate. Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment. Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development programmes. Requirements & Qualifications Minimum of NCE, B.Ed, B.A, or B.Sc in Hausa or a related field. Proven experience teaching Hausa at primary and/or secondary level is an advantage. Strong command of spoken and written Hausa. Good classroom management and communication skills. Passion for teaching and working with young people. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. Personal Attributes Patient, creative, and culturally sensitive. Professional, punctual, and well-organised. Committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Job Type: Part-time
