Job Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for managing all financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining financial integrity across all departments of Ignition Club and Arena. This role ensures compliance with company policies, prepares timely financial reports, and provides management with clear insights to guide sound business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all club operations (bar, kitchen, events, and outdoor lounge).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries.
- Monitor all revenue collections from POS, cash, and transfer channels to ensure accountability.
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and staff expenditures regularly.
- Oversee petty cash disbursement, staff advances, and reimbursement processes.
- Work closely with the HR and Operations teams to manage payroll, deductions, and statutory remittances (PAYE, pension, etc.).
- Track inventory and coordinate with storekeepers to ensure accurate cost accounting and stock valuation.
- Review vendor invoices and manage supplier payments promptly.
- Implement effective internal controls to prevent fraud, leakage, and unauthorized spending.
- Support the audit process and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.
- Advise management on cost-saving measures and financial efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with accounting principles and company financial policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the hospitality or entertainment industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, or other accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
- High attention to detail and integrity in financial record-keeping.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
