Job Summary
The Inventory Officer is responsible for receiving, recording, storing, and monitoring stock movement within the hotel. The role ensures accurate inventory records and supports efficient daily operations by maintaining proper stock levels across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect delivered goods to ensure quality and quantity match purchase orders.
- Record all stock entries and exits accurately in inventory records or systems.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of low or excess stock.
- Issue items to departments based on approved requisitions.
- Maintain organized and clean storage areas in line with hygiene and safety standards.
- Assist in periodic stock counts and inventory audits.
- Track expiry dates for perishable items and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).
- Report damaged, expired, or missing items promptly.
- Support the Procurement/Inventory Manager in stock reconciliation and reporting.
Requirements
- OND/HND or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years experience in inventory or storekeeping, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management practices.
- Good record-keeping and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accountability.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Proximity to Obada Oko, Abeokuta is an added advantage.
