Job Description

Job Title: JCB Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious JCB Operator to operate heavy construction equipment for excavation, loading, grading, and material handling activities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with JCB/backhoe loaders and understands safe operating procedures on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate JCB/backhoe loader safely and efficiently for excavation, trenching, loading, and leveling work
• Inspect machinery daily and report mechanical issues or maintenance needs
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Follow site plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions accurately
• Ensure safety of coworkers, equipment, and surrounding property
• Comply with all workplace safety rules and regulations
• Assist with other construction tasks when required

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a JCB Operator or similar heavy equipment operator
• Valid operator license/certification (where applicable)
• Good understanding of construction site safety practices
• Ability to read basic drawings and follow instructions
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying conditions
• Willingness to work overtime if required

Preferred Skills

• Experience on construction or infrastructure projects
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
