Role Overview

We are seeking a Web Developer & Platform Lead to own the development and long-term reliability of KBM’s digital platforms. This role requires someone who can modernize our primary website, launch a new project website, and build and manage a full Learning Management System (LMS) using Moodle, ensuring strong performance, security, and maintainability across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1) Website Revamp — Know the Blocks Maven (KBM)

  • Redesign and revamp the KBM website to a modern, high-performance standard
  • Improve site structure, UI/UX, mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and loading speed
  • Implement SEO fundamentals and conversion-ready layouts (landing pages, clear CTAs, etc.)
  • Ensure clean handover documentation and ease of ongoing updates

2) Website Build — Wamido (KBM Subsidiary Project)

  • Develop and launch a simple, professional website for Wamido, a KBM subsidiary/adjacent project
  • Build essential pages (Home, About, Services/Programs, Contact, and needed landing pages)
  • Ensure the website is fast, mobile-friendly, secure, and easy for internal updates

3) LMS Build & Development (Using Moodle)

  • Design, build, and deploy an LMS using Moodle to support KBM’s training delivery
  • Configure user roles, permissions, course categories, enrollment methods, assessments, and certificates (as required)
  • Customize Moodle themes and interface for a clean learner experience
  • Manage plugins and integrations (payments, email tools, analytics, forms, CRM where applicable)
  • Ensure scalability, stability, and a smooth admin workflow for KBM staff

4) Platform Ownership & Ongoing Maintenance

  • Provide ongoing technical maintenance across the KBM website, Wamido website, and the Moodle-based LMS
  • Perform updates, backups, security hardening, uptime monitoring, bug fixes, and performance optimization
  • Troubleshoot issues quickly and apply preventative improvements to reduce downtime risk.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years professional web development experience with a portfolio of live projects
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or similar)
  • Experience with CMS and deployment environments (WordPress/Webflow/custom builds)
  • Proven experience in website performance optimization, security best practices, and maintenance
  • Hands-on experience building and managing an LMS using Moodle (setup, configuration, customization, plugin management)
  • Strong UI/UX judgment and ability to produce responsive, intuitive interfaces
  • Strong ownership, troubleshooting, and delivery mindset
  • Familiarity with Web3 and AI ecosystems is an advantage

Contract Terms & Compensation

  • Project Fee: ₦500,00 (covers KBM website revamp, Wamido website build, and building/deploying an LMS using Moodle)
  • Monthly Maintenance Retainer: ₦50,00/month (covers ongoing maintenance across the KBM website, Wamido website, and Moodle-based LMS)

Maintenance includes: routine updates, security checks, backups, monitoring, bug fixes, and performance upkeep.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
