Job Description

Orange Farm is hiring Farm Workers to support daily operations across our vegetable greenhouse, nursery, and open-field plots.

This role is critical to improving crop survival, yield, and harvest quality. The ideal candidate is disciplined, willing to learn, and committed to following proper farming practices.

This is not casual labour. Performance, learning, and responsibility matter.

Key Responsibilities

Crop & Field Operations

• Assist with planting, transplanting, and crop maintenance
• Water crops and support fertilizer and nutrient application
• Carry out weeding, pruning, staking, and general field care
• Support nursery activities and proper seedling handling

Crop Monitoring & Reporting

• Observe crops for pests, diseases, stress, or damage
• Report issues promptly to the Farm Manager or supervisor
• Follow instructions strictly to avoid crop loss or damage

Harvest & Post-Harvest Handling

• Harvest vegetables carefully to avoid damage
• Sort, grade, and package vegetables according to quality standards
• Support basic post-harvest handling to reduce spoilage

Hygiene, Safety & Equipment

• Maintain cleanliness of greenhouse, nursery, and work areas
• Use farm tools and equipment responsibly
• Follow farm safety, hygiene, and operational guidelines at all times

Requirements

• Willingness to work on a farm (greenhouse and open-field)
• Physically fit and able to carry out field work
• Ability to follow instructions carefully
• Team player with attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and disciplined

Performance & Growth

• Training will be provided on proper farming practices
• Performance will be monitored (quality of work, discipline, learning)
• High-performing workers may be promoted to Senior Worker / Lead Hand
