Job Description

Job Overview

The Quality Control Officer ensures that bakery products meet company and regulatory specifications while maintaining strict sanitation and hygiene standards. The role oversees raw material inspection, production process checks, documentation, and quality assurance activities across designated locations.

Job DescriptionPrincipal Responsibilities:

• Inspection of raw materials issued to the bakery.

Documentation: Receiving log.

• Sanitation, grooming, and hygiene check of the production environment and food handlers.

Documentation: Hygiene checklist & production opening checklist.

• Ensure that FEFO/FIFO are adhered to in the bakery and ensure proper documentation of “soon to expired items.”

Documentation: Update on soon to expire.

• In-process check of production processes to ensure conformity to specifications (e.g., mixing time & speed, oven temperature & timing) and check for dispatch cleanliness before dispatching.

Documentation: In-process checklist.

• Finish product check to confirm that product conforms before dispatching.

Documentation: Bad and damage report (BND).

Administrative:

• Documentation of checklists used for qualitative operation.
• Daily report to be sent to the Quality Assurance Manager.

QualificationsEducation / Knowledge:

• First Degree in Food Tech or related courses

Work Experience:

• 0–2 years as Quality Control in an FMCG or QSR
