Job Description

Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Department: Sales

Location: Ibadan, Oyo (We are also seeking candidates in Onitsha, Anamabra and Kano)

Reports To: Head, Sales & Marketing

Salary Range: ₦400,00 – ₦630,00 per month

Role Overview

We are seeking a high-performing and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow sales operations within an assigned region. This is a hands-on leadership role for a seasoned FMCG professional with strong people-management skills and a consistent track record of driving revenue growth in highly competitive markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and supervise the regional sales team to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Develop and implement territory growth strategies, including route-to-market coverage, merchandising excellence, and pricing execution.
  • Oversee distributor operations, ensuring optimal stock levels, effective credit utilization, compliance with AMEL policies, and enforcement of performance-based incentives and penalties.
  • Identify and drive new market opportunities to expand numeric and weighted distribution.
  • Conduct regular market and trade visits to ensure execution of sales and merchandising standards.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyse market data, forecast demand, and deliver periodic performance reports and actionable insights to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline (MBA is an advantage).
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in FMCG sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-management skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in competitive and fast-moving markets.
