The Roller Compactor Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the roller compaction equipment used in dry granulation processes within the pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. The role ensures consistent product quality, adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Operate roller compaction machines for dry granulation in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Set up, adjust, and monitor machine parameters such as roller pressure, gap, and speed to achieve required granule quality.
Perform in-process checks to ensure product quality meets specifications.
Accurately document batch manufacturing records (BMR) and logbooks.
Clean and sanitize the roller compactor and surrounding area according to cleaning SOPs.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, deviations, or abnormalities to the Production Supervisor.
Assist in minor troubleshooting and routine maintenance activities.
Ensure strict compliance with GMP, safety, and company quality policies at all times.
Work collaboratively with Quality Control, Engineering, and other production staff to meet production targets.
Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
