Role Overview

We are seeking a Development Programs & Grants Manager to lead grant sourcing, proposal development, and the implementation of donor-funded programs at Slate Impact Foundation. This role is responsible for identifying funding opportunities, securing grants, and ensuring programs are executed effectively, compliantly, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Grants & Resource Mobilization

• Proactively identify relevant grant and donor funding opportunities (local and international)
• Lead grant applications, including concept notes, full proposals, budgets, and supporting documents
• Coordinate internal and partner inputs for grant writing and submissions
• Maintain a grants pipeline and track application statuses

Program Implementation & Operations

• Manage the implementation of donor- and development-funded programs under Slate Impact Foundation
• Coordinate grant compliance, reporting requirements, and timelines
• Track program milestones, outputs, and impact indicators
• Support audits, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities

Coordination & Partnerships

• Work closely with internal teams and implementing partners to ensure effective program delivery
• Liaise with donors, DFIs, NGOs, and ecosystem stakeholders
• Support partnership development and donor communications

Qualifications & Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in grants management, development programs, or donor-funded projects
• Demonstrated experience sourcing and writing successful grant applications
• Familiarity with donor compliance, reporting, and budgeting requirements
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in climate, agriculture, energy, or development sectors is an advantage
