Job Description

Job Title: Facility Maintenance Officer (Hotel)

Location: Lekki

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: N200,00-N250,00

Job Summary

The Facility Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are well maintained, safe, and fully functional at all times. The role supports smooth hotel operations and ensures a comfortable experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspection and maintenance of hotel facilities including guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, offices, and utilities.
• Repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, lighting, and mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
• Ensure generators, water systems, elevators (if applicable), and other critical equipment are functional.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and service disruptions.
• Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and work reports.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations.
• Monitor use of maintenance materials and tools to prevent wastage.
• Support renovations, installations, and setup of hotel facilities when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE / OND in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building-related field.
• Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment (2–5 years).
• Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
