Job Summary

The Operations Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of the food brand, ensuring efficient production, quality control, staff performance, inventory management, and customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for translating the brand’s vision into smooth, scalable, and profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Process Management

  • Oversee daily operations across kitchen, production, packaging, and service outlets (if applicable).
  • Ensure all operational processes run efficiently and meet company standards.
  • Develop, implement, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor operational KPIs including cost control, turnaround time, waste, and productivity.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.
  • Conduct routine audits and inspections of facilities and processes.

People & Team Management

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate operations staff.
  • Create work schedules and manage staff attendance and performance.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Inventory & Cost Management

  • Oversee inventory, stock levels, and procurement to prevent shortages or wastage.
  • Monitor food costs, portion control, and operational expenses.
  • Work closely with finance and procurement teams to optimize costs.

Customer Experience & Growth Support

  • Ensure smooth order fulfillment and timely service delivery.
  • Handle escalated operational issues or customer complaints.
  • Support expansion plans including new outlets, vendors, or distribution channels.

Reporting & Strategy

  • Prepare operational reports for management review.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Support leadership in scaling operations as the brand grows.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree / HND in Business Administration, Hospitality, Food Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years experience in food operations, restaurant management, or production operations.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and operational workflows.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced food business environment.
